At Freedom Hooves Therapeutic Riding Center, all of our horses are special! These patient friends are an integral part of our program and greatly influence the quality of services we provide.
Our horses make a big difference in the lives of our clients. They serve over 300 riders every year, and they deserve the best care available. Feed and care for our herd of therapy horses is one of the largest expenses incurred by our organization. Basic health care and feeding of a horse costs FHTRC $7000 per year, per horse! Sponsoring one of our amazing horses is a great way to make a meaningful contribution to our program.
Sponsorship levels are listed below. Individuals, Business, Organizations, and Corporations can pledge to help with the upkeep of one of our horses listed below. Payment may be made all at one time, or in quarterly or monthly installments.
All funds received through our Sponsor-A-Horse Program will help us keep our herd sound, healthy and well cared for. Funds are used for shoes, veterinary care, and to keep our horses well fed and comfortable. Sponsoring one horse helps the well being of our entire therapy herd!
You and/or your Business will receive an abundance of recognition for your generosity. All sponsors will be recognized in our quarterly Newsletter, and on our website, will receive tickets to our annual fundraisers, and more! If you become a Grand Champion Sponsor you will have your name added to your chosen horse’s stall plate, and you will even have the opportunity to brush and get to know your sponsored horse.
Horse Sponsorship:
- Blue Ribbon Sponsor – Sponsors a horse for 1 month – $700
- Silver Medal Sponsor – Sponsors a horse for 3 months – $1500
- Gold Medal Sponsor – Sponsors a horse for 6 months – $3500
- Grand Champion Sponsor – Sponsors a horse for 1 year – $7000
Even if you cannot afford to sponsor a horse’s boarding fees, there are various other expenses each month. If you would like to sponsor our horses, by purchasing their supplements, or by assisting with the cost of a farrier visit, this would also be a great help.
- Farrier (trim) Every 8 weeks : $30
- Shoes for one horse, every 6 weeks: $70
- Supplements : $75 a month
- Basic Veterinarian Expenses (vaccination, teeth, Coggins) : $500 per year, per horse
Thank you to the Partial Sponsors that support our horses!
